Dr. Jillian Roberts is a registered psychologist, author, associate professor, and mother. She is passionate about helping children and families unlock their true potential. The clinics she founded in 2003 have recently been renamed MindKey Health.
I began to envision a larger message, a message about how to help kids live in our changing world. I imagined a caring, integrity-enriched, adult problem-solver of the 21st Century – and I worked backwards. What would we need to teach our children & how would we need to teach them in order to set them on the path of becoming a problem solver who cares?

The World Around Us series introduces children to complex cultural and social issues in a straightforward and accessible way. These illustrated nonfiction picture books tackle global concerns and initiate conversations about subjects that are difficult, sad or overwhelming with school-aged children who are just beginning to observe the world around them. The topics covered include poverty, homelessness, media awareness, tragedy, prejudice, bullying, internet safety, body image and environmentalism. The World Around Us series
An engaging introduction for very young children to the topics of reproduction, diversity, death, and separation and divorce in a way that is gentle, age-appropriate and accessible. Child psychologist Dr. Jillian Roberts created the Just Enough series to help parents and caregivers approach difficult subjects with little ones. These primers offer an accessible starting point for conversations about important topics using questions posed in a child’s voice and answers that start simply and become more in-depth, these books allow adults to guide the conversation to a natural and reassuring conclusion. The Just Enough series
